Acer platanoides, or Norway maple, is a popular deciduous tree native to Central and Eastern Europe, including Poland. It grows to a height of 18–27 meters, with a dense crown and green leaves that turn yellow in autumn.

Widely planted in Polish cities, parks, and forests, it’s valued for its resilience and practicality—stabilizing soil, tolerating pruning, and thriving in various conditions. Its yellow-green flowers bloom in early spring, before the leaves emerge.
